OUR STORY

As a parent of an autistic ADHD child, I understand how challenging life can be for neurodivergent individuals and their families.  This inspired me to set up Support For Neurodiversity.

My daughter, Lola, used to experience extreme mood and behaviour challenges that severely impacted her life.  Watching her struggle and not knowing how to help her was heartbreaking.  After extensive research, I was fortunate to find therapists who were able to significantly improve her wellbeing – these therapists included nutritionists,  occupational therapists, and behaviour therapists.

Lola still encounters many challenges, however, her life is now much more joyful and fulfilling.

I recognise the difficulty in finding trustworthy advice, solutions and therapists to help support mental wellbeing, behaviour, and sleep issues, and my goal is to simplify this process. Support For Neurodiversity provides a comprehensive search platform that offers free, evidence-based advice from highly qualified and experienced therapists and world-renowned researchers.  We also offer the opportunity to book appointments with therapists, and the option to purchase supportive supplements that may benefit wellbeing.

DIRECTOR

Hayley Everard, Founder Director

I hold a BSc in Biomedical Science and am presently working towards a nutrition diploma. I previously worked for a pharmaceutical company for 13 years, before taking a career break to look after my children.

For the last 4 years I have worked for a charity called Food and Behaviour Research.  This experience has given me a real passion for learning more about how food affects mood and behaviour, and how what you eat can have a significant impact on your mood, behaviour, and sleep.

My youngest child, Lola, was diagnosed with autism when she was three, and my journey searching for ways to help her started soon after. She has also recently been diagnosed with ADHD.  Discovering effective strategies to support Lola not only significantly improved her wellbeing but also positively affected the entire family.

I hope that this website provides you with ways to help improve your child’s, and your own, quality of life.
